We are a greenhouse nursery that grows annual
container and bedding plants, geraniums, perennials, baskets and planters, poinsettias, and assorted oddities.
We sell retail at the nursery and wholesale to garden centers, landscapers and fundraisers throughout western Oregon and southwest Washington.
We are open to the public for retail sales from the first weekend of March until mid-October. From March through July we are open 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday, and 10 am to 5 pm Sunday except for Easter and July 4th. From August until closing we close an hour earlier, 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm Sunday.
Our wholesale side is open all year, mostly Monday through Friday, but Saturdays also in late April and May, and again during poinsettia shipping in late November and early December.
Our particular points of pride are our geraniums, of which we grow around 60 varieties, our poinsettias, and our mixed hanging baskets and planters. In our perennial crops we carry a very nice selection of shade plants. (I have a 100% shade yard, I can’t help but be drawn that way.)
Since we are the grower of the majority of the plants sold here, we can give you accurate information on the care of your plants, and help with health and nutrition problems. We’re also pretty artistic and can recommend good combinations for planters and beds.
The nursery is on the Egan family farm, where we have lived since 1875. My father, Bill Egan, began in 1952 with two greenhouses, which are still in use. He started growing geraniums, and the product list and nursery size just kept expanding. He had a vision of growing really healthy, top quality plants that would thrive when planted in their new homes. My staff and I have worked hard to successfully carry on that vision.
